Year 23, Day 315 (MPV Probe Sets Course for Minmus!)

A nearby target is chosen for the new MPV Probe – Minmus! In addition to a full testing of the probe’s capabilities the mission will also hopefully serve as a full survey of Minmus for future colony sites.

Despite being one of the earliest bodies in the Kerbol system to be explored the site has not had a full survey done looking for water, or to find a proper site for a colony!

After the inclination with Minmus is set, the probe fires its engine to intercept Minmus!

Year 7, Day (Kerbol Two Solar Research Probe Launches!)

KSEA and KOAA both worked on the Solar Research Probe, which should allow unparalleled looks at Kerbin’s sun, Kerbol!

KSEA also hopes that the Atomic Rocket Motor-based design and an all new Probe layout will provide the blueprint for future missions! screenshot143.png

Kerbol 2’s second stage fires, which will take the craft out of Kerbin’s sphere of gravity into Solar orbit!  screenshot144.png

The protective fairings eject!

In 15 days the craft will maneuver for Kerbol itself! The solar arrays and communications dish fully deploy.

Year 6, Day 328 (Kerbol 1 Manuever)

Kerbol One fires its engines to maneuver for its approach to the sun!

While the fate of the Kerbol 1 probe is almost certain, the exact time communications will be lost, and at what proximity to the star is unknown. KSEA hopes that a lot of interesting science can be transmitted before the probe is lost!

The final boost stage is ejected, and the probe hurdles toward the sun! In roughly 90 days we should know if the probe is successful!
