Year 21, Day 32 (KSEA & KOAA Develop Munar Water Scanner!)

A key to any long term colony site is finding an ideal location that has ample supplies of water. To this end, KSEA and KOAA (the Kerbin Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) have worked together to develop the Aqua Scanner Mk1.

Launched on a Nebula Rocket, the spacecraft will travel to Mun orbit and start scanning for ideal landing sites! Once sites have been selected, Kerbals will scout them out, and then the development of an actual colony can commence!

Year 1, Day 103

screenshot25.pngThe new Horizon-A rockets are ready and Jeb and Val are itching to try them!  The first is named Horizon-3 and if everything goes well, it will be the first craft to orbit Kerbin! screenshot27.png

The first two stages fire, and take Horizon 3 into a good apoapsis of 86k!screenshot28.png

At apoapsis the LV-900 fires, and Jeb pilots the craft into a nice stable orbit (somewhat sloppy though, without the assistance of computers!) screenshot30.png

Mission Control radar tracking confirms it: orbit achieved!  What a day!  Jeb completes one full orbit of Kerbin, then aims for what looks like KSC! screenshot32.png

Jeb ejects the orbital section. “What a shame!   It was a good ship!” he says.

screenshot35.pngJeb splashes down west of the KSC peninsula.  “Ah!  So wet!  I’m ready to get rescued guys!!”

Year 1, Day 1

256x256-4

The Congress of the Kerbal States had previously voted unanimously to found a new organization, the Kerbin Space Exploration Administration, or KSEA.  The stated mission is to boldy go where no Kerbal has gone before!

KSEA Director Gene Kerman has promised that Kerbals should start flying soon! Like many of the emblems used by the Kerbal States, the format of the KSEA logo is similar to those found in the ruins of the crashed probe!
