The X-1 carries Mitster up, then down! The test is a success. “Wow! What a ride! I can’t wait to test out the new X-2!” Mitster excitedly says.

Year 1, Day 11
Construction is completed on the X-1, a basic rocket to launch Kerbals into space (or at the very least, the sky.) Jebediah Kerman is chosen as the first pilot of this experimental craft!
After a short launch the X-1 lands safely outside the Space Center!
Year 1, Day 3
Engineers finish designs for the X-1, the Kerbal States’ first rocket! The one-Kerbal pod will help test how Kerbals react to high speed movement, as well as testing parachute and other onboard systems.
