In a 20k orbit of Moho the cargo bays of DSV-5 Intrepid slowly open to reveal the lander and rover!
“Cargo bay doors fully retracted and locked! Retracting communications dish!”
-Sondo
With the bay doors open and the dish retracted, Carson and Bob climb into the lander – requiring a quick EVA!

“OK…. let’s head down to Moho! RCS systems… active… startinging manuever out of bay…. we’re clear! “
-Carson

Carson aims for the minor craters of Moho, fires the engines… and the lander begins ots descent!
“Calculations show a good burn, we are on target! Hmm – my math shows we are very tight on fuel budget – we’ll only get one try at this landing!”
-Bob

“I’ll only need one try! Gear deployed… starting burn!”
-Carson
The descent thrusters fire, and the landers slowly touches down!

“… we’re down! Landing gear shows solid… engines are shut down. We’re good to deploy the rover Bob!”
-Carson
Mission Science Specialist Bob detaches the rover from the top of the lander, and RCS systems guide it to a landing nearby!

“There it is! Looks like a good landing for our rover. I’ll detach the RCS assembly!
-Bob
The RCS assembly on top of the rover detaches, and flies off to a safe and probably very destructive landing site.

Carson climbs out first – deploying the ladder and climbing down!

“Oh boy – it’s hot out here! Spacesuit is keeping me… mostly comfortable though! I’ll meet you at the rover Bob!”
-Carson
Carson runs over to the Rover and starts checking all its systems!

Bob triple checks his suit’s air conditioning is fully functional, and slowly climbs out of the lander, while Carson watches from the rover!

“Oh wow! Look at all the interesting rocks around the landing site! Let’s start doing some collecting!”
-Bob
Bob and Carson climb into the lander, deploy the solar panel at the back, and head out from the lander!

“No wonder everyone wants to sign up for space exploration missions – this is great!”
-Carson

“Landing on another planet never gets old, trust me… ”
-Bob
